How It Works?
Step 1
Professional Investor
baraka Access is only available to Professional Investors. Take a short survey to help us assess whether you meet the regulatory requirements.
Step 2
Create Account
You will need to sign up to baraka Access even if you already have a baraka account. Once we confirm you are a Professional Investor we will send you instructions on how to sign up.
Step 3
View Details
Once you are signed up to Access we will start to invite you to deals. Each deal represents a potential opportunity to buy shares in a private company. We need to have a minimum commitment before we can officially submit bids on behalf of our baraka Access investors but the deals presented represent opportunities that we have sourced and which have a high chance of being matched with sellers in the market.
Step 4
Invest
If you would like to buy shares in a company you simply confirm how much you would like to invest. The minimum investment amount is usually $25,000 but may be higher in some circumstances.
Step 5
Deal Confirmed
Each deal will have a minimum investment target that must be reached. Once the target is hit we will then work with the seller of the shares to confirm the deal.
Step 6
SPV Created and Funds Transferred
Once the deal has been confirmed the SPV will be created and you will then be asked to sign a subscription agreement and transfer your investment funds (including any fees).
Step 7
Closing
Once all investors have transferred their funds the SPV will then sign the relevant documentation with the seller. Funds are then released to the seller and the shares are transferred to the SPV. baraka investors who have invested in the deal now own shares in the relevant company which are held by the SPV.
